On Thursday, July 4, a woman in her forties, recently acquitted of murdering her husband, fell to her death from the third floor of a building in Casablanca’s Sidi El Bernoussidistrict. The incident occurred at 2 a.m., drawing the attention of nearby residents who called the police. Detectives discovered signs of violence on the body and bloodstains in the apartment.
A young man, present at the scene, admitted that he, the deceased, and two brothers had been drinking together. He claimed to have left briefly to buy cigarettes, returning to find the woman dead and the brothers missing. The police detained the apartment owner, while investigations continue to locate the two brothers. The deceased, a widow who previously lost her husband to murder, lived a transient life marred by alcohol abuse. Her husband was killed by two homeless men, who were subsequently arrested.
