The drug addict who killed his father brought to justice

The forty-something drug addict who committed parricide in Fez was brought before the King’s Prosecutor at the Fez Court of Appeal on Monday July 1.

Last Friday, in the Jnane Sounni neighborhood in the Aïn Nakbi area, part of the Jnane Al Ouarde district, the 40-year-old man allegedly asked his father for money. When he refused, the drug addict, holding a knife in his hand, struck him in the chest before leaving the scene of the crime. Seriously injured, the father was immediately evacuated to the Hassan II University Hospital in Fez, but could not be saved. Investigations carried out by the judicial police yielded results a few hours later, when they arrested the suspect at the city’s railway station, who was preparing to leave the city.
