Well located in the center of the country, the region of Beni Mellal-Khouribgaoffers a booming domestic market in the food and food technology sectors and given its strategic location between the North and South, Beni Mellal relies on the organization of fairs and national and international exhibitions to showcase its agricultural resources as well as the processes of agriculture, manufacturing and processing of products from the region.
And it is with this in mind that the city hosts from March 2 to 5, the first edition of its International Exhibition of Agricultural Technology and Agribusiness under the sign “a smart investment for sustainable development. This four-day fair will also provide an opportunity for more than 400 exhibitors, mostly companies, cooperatives and professional organizations, to present their products to the 80,000 visitors expected for this first edition.
The International Exhibition of Agricultural and Food Technology will be organized into several clusters that highlight the latest technologies and equipment for processing, packaging, preservation and packaging of agricultural products. Similarly, it will be an opportunity for different stakeholders in the agricultural sector to exchange experiences and expertise in order to stimulate investment in the region, and businessmen and key partners to strengthen cooperation and coordination for the development of new policies flexible, integrated and environmentally friendly, able to inject a strong dynamic to the local economy, regional and national.
The organization of this exhibition will allow the region to attract new investment in agriculture and agribusiness and will be an opportunity to discover the latest technologies in irrigation and rational management of water resources. It also provides poles dedicated to livestock, animal and plant biotechnology, digitization of farms, renewable energy and irrigation systems, local products, fertilizers and pesticides, as well as the financing of agricultural projects and techniques of intelligent agriculture.
Thus, the show, which will be built on an area of 6,000 square meters, is a showcase to present local products and a space for promotion, marketing and development of competitiveness of products from the region that will be offered great opportunities to access new markets. In addition, it will include an institutional pole that will bring together the state bodies in charge of agriculture, food industry and health safety of agricultural products, as well as poles devoted to agricultural companies, research and design offices in the agricultural field.
Finally, the program includes the organization of a series of conferences and workshops that will be led by more than 140 experts to shed light on the efforts and initiatives taken under the Generation Green plan to develop national agriculture.
