The Russian agency Rosselkhoznadzor, the equivalent of the Office National de Sécurité Sanitaire des Produits Alimentaires (ONSSA) in Morocco, has just published a press release in which it indicates the figures of Russian imports of vegetables and fruits at the end of the first seven months of the year 2022.
According to it Morocco is the first supplier of the Russian Federation with a margin of 45%, on a total of 5.1 million tons, followed by Turkmenistan (30%), Kazakhstan (21%), Tajikistan (16%), Uzbekistan – 14%, China (11%). Among Moroccan exports to Russia are more than 53.6 thousand tons of clementines and more than 33.7 thousand tons of mandarins.
The Kingdom leads the suppliers although the geographical proximity of Russia with other suppliers is more beneficial, Rosselkhoznadzor said that the foreign trade corridors Russia-Turkey, Russia-Iran, Russia-India and Russia-China are functioning normally.
