The case of Brahim Saadoun, sentenced to death by the pro-Russian separatist authorities of the Donetsk People’s Republic, is experiencing new developments.
Thus, according to the news agency Sputnik, the defense of the young Moroccan announced to have submitted an appeal with the aim of reducing the sentence of Brahim Saadoun. And Yelena Vestina, a defense lawyer, said on Friday, July 1, to have initiated the appeal against the judgment of the Supreme Court of the DPR.
For its part, the above-mentioned news agency recalled that Tahar Saadoun, father of Brahim Saadoun, had previously appealed to the Russian President, Vladimir Putin, requesting his intervention in order to save his son from capital punishment.
