In its daily bulletin on the epidemiological situation, the Ministry also said that the number of first-time vaccine recipients has reached 24,726,077, that of people who have received two doses is 23,168,448, while 5,446,888 people have had three injections of the vaccine.
The new record of infections brings to 1,158,669 the total number of infections since the first case was reported in Morocco in March 2020, while the number of people recovered has risen to 1,133,954, representing a recovery rate of 98%.
The new cases of infection have been recorded in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (103), Fez-Meknes (85), Marrakech-Safi (76), Oriental (65), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (48), Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (44), Souss-Massa (32), Draâ-Tafilalet (21), Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (20), Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (13), Béni Mellal-Khénifra (12), and Guelmim-Oued Noun (5).
The total number of deaths rose to 15,881 (case-fatality 1.4%), with 11 cases recorded in 24 hours in the regions of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (2), Oriental (2), Guelmim-Oued Noun (2), Casablanca-Settat (1), Fès-Meknès (1), Souss-Massa (1), Draâ-Tafilalet (1), and Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (1).
The active cases are 8,834 while the severe or critical cases have reached 21 in 24 hours, bringing their total to 339. As for the occupancy rate of resuscitation beds, it is 6.5%.
