Saudi Arabia extends the validity of permanent exit visas for Moroccans

The extension, issued by the finance minister, is part of the Saudi government’s ongoing efforts to deal with the effects and repercussions of the global Covid-19 pandemic, the Saudi General Directorate of Passports announced.

The Saudi Press Agency SPA reported that the extension operation would be conducted electronically in cooperation with the Saudi National Information Center.

The news comes as Covid-19 cases continue to rise in the Gulf kingdom. On Saturday, Saudi Arabia recorded 1,726 new cases and two deaths in a 24-hour period, while the total number of cases in the country stood at more than 727,251.

In Saudi Arabia, a visa is required to enter and leave the country. Once inside, a person must apply for an exit visa from the Ministry of Interior before leaving the country.
