An informed source said that the Coronavirus vaccination operation, scheduled to start in the economic capital of the Kingdom on December 4, has been postponed to a later date due to some technical problems. Moroccan authorities have not received official authorization from their Chinese counterparts.
This postponement, according to the daily Al Alam, comes with the discretion of the Ministry of Health regarding the exact date of the launch of the vaccination operation. As for the health delegation, it remains completely silent, especially since all preparations have been undertaken for the launch of the operation, following the arrival of doses of vaccine from the Chinese laboratory Sinopharm that Morocco has officially adopted as treatment against Coronavirus.
The medical teams supervising the first vaccination operations have been called into action. These will include first-tier employees: health sector professionals, security forces, teachers, the elderly, and people with chronic diseases.
It should be noted that the health authorities, in cooperation with the public authorities, have reserved 880 vaccination centers throughout the territory of the Casablanca Settat region. This represents a quarter of the total number of centers determined by the Ministry of Health at the national level, which stands at 2888.
