Telephone Conversation between King Mohammed VI and the President of China

Here is a press release from the Royal Cabinet:

“His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, had a telephone conversation with His Excellency Mr. Xi JINPING, President of the People’s Republic of China, on Monday, August 31, 2020.

This conversation is part of the friendly relations between the two countries, highlighted by the Joint Declaration on Strategic Partnership, signed by His Majesty the King and President Xi Jinping during the Royal Visit to Beijing in May 2016.

The telephone conversation between His Majesty the King, God help him, and the President of the People’s Republic of China focused on the development of bilateral relations in all areas, including political dialogue, economic cooperation and cultural and human exchanges.

His Majesty the King, God help him, and President Xi JINPING also exchanged views on the partnership between the two countries in the fight against COVID-19.

The discussion was an opportunity to thank the People’s Republic of China for the support and assistance it has provided to the strong preventive measures taken by the Kingdom of Morocco to stem the spread of the pandemic, both in terms of medical equipment and screening tests, as well as in the exchange of information and expertise.

The two Heads of State also discussed the future steps of operational cooperation between the Kingdom of Morocco and the People’s Republic of China, in the context of the fight against the pandemic of COVID-19″.
