The Royal Moroccan Federation of Kickboxing, Muay Thai, Savate and related sports is organizing a virtual national championship of Muay Thai from 5 to 15 July. This championship, which is available to all practitioners of the discipline in Morocco, all categories included, will qualify for the World Championship for the year 2020, says a press release from the federation.
During the virtual national championship organized by the Royal Moroccan Federation of kick-boxing, muay-thai, savate and similar sports, which will be held from July 5 to 15, muay-thai practitioners will have the opportunity to compete for the championship belt.
According to a statement from the Federation, “this qualifying tournament for the 2020 World Championship of the discipline is open to all practitioners of the discipline in all categories, operating in the various Associations affiliated to the federal body”.
In order to facilitate the registration of participants in this national competition, the Federation has set up a website which will allow all coaches to directly register all competitors.
The submission of competitors’ videos will start on 5 July. In this regard, the Federation had organized a distance training session for coaches and referees to shed light on the rules to be followed at this championship. In addition, during the confinement, a meeting of the members of the National Technical Committee, the National Referee Committee and the Regional Technical Directors was held by videoconference in order to deepen the reflection on the rules related to this virtual tournament.
